The Washington State Ferry crisis affects the economic health and quality of life of people and businesses across the state. Fruit from Yakima rots on Seattle docks. Patients miss critical medical treatments and ambulances are delayed on hospital runs. Children, students, and the elderly are stranded. Residents lose wages and jobs. Businesses lose employees and vital income. Island economies and the State of Washington lose tourist dollars. Our communities are sinking under this burden.
We invite citizen activists, advocates, city, county, and local agency leadership, Ferry Advisory Committees, chambers of commerce, tourism agencies, and all ferry stakeholders to come together for this critical opportunity to support ferry funding and advocacy. We will:

Peter is a marine transit advocate and president of COLIBRI Northwest, LLC. As publisher of Pacific Maritime Magazine and producer of an annual national ferries conference in Seattle, Philips has been involved in maritime, transportation and land use policy since 1985. The team at Colibri NW helps cities, transit agencies, and private developers formulate and implement strategies to stand up and operate passenger-only ferry service.
Islanders for Ferry Action (IFA) is comprised of islanders dedicated to identifying and lobbying for solutions to chronic ferry service disruptions.
